Look beyond the temptations

It is an odd thing about the human mind.

You want a job that will pay when you're actually meant to study.

Yet, you want to read every textbook because you feel incompetent at work.

You long for a vacation to rid yourself of your hectic schedule.

Yet, you might pull your hair out while on leave for lack of anything else to do.

"Is it just me?" you ask? NOT.

It is the same with everyone? Almost.

The wise beat the pack because they focus on the present.

FOCUS. Be wise.

I think Christ put it beautifully when he said, "Who among you can add a second to your life by worrying about tomorrow?" Come what may! We have to smell the roses - so to speak - or else we'll forget that life is such a blessing.

That is so true about living in the moment and not wishing your life away while you wait for the next "great" thing to happen. Took me a lot of years to figure this out after wishing away 5 days a week during my 20's. Just living for the weekends in those days :)
