You were worried to feel no stress until yesterday.
Today, you're so anxious that you feel frozen.
You swallow repeatedly on account of a dry mouth.
You breathe short, fiery, frequent, raspy breaths.
Result- You find that you're left oxygen-deprived.
You fumble with your phone, wondering whom to call.
You're talking to yourself, thinking up a solution.
You hear me screaming in your mind-
"Is this what I've taught you for so long??"
I'm not saying any of that!
I want you to be honest with me.
So what if you're scared?
Will lying about it help?
It might act as a temporary affirmation.
But such flimsy covers slip fast and soon.
The question is- WHAT is scaring you?
Is there any sort of pressure?
Do you think you're incapable?
Are you not dedicated enough, in your mind's eye?
Is this goal greater than you?
Does it alter your sense of self in any way?
Is your entire lifetime limited to this alone?
The answer to ALL of those questions is "NO".
Then why stress?
A little anxiety is good.
Why are you loading yourself with it though?
I'll walk you through it.
Trust me till the end and it will all be perfect.
Take in the little sips of your coffee.
Let it pass down your gullet, nice and easy.
Inhale the air around you, deeply.
Fill your lungs to capacity.
Life is getting better with each passing minute.
There is a whole new world out there, remember?
You're doing great.
Just stay calm.
It is the wise thing to do.
The answer is staring you in the face.
Seize back the reins of your control.
Witness the surmountability of your task.
The horizon is warm and welcoming.
It will meet you with love, care, kindness and smiles.
Carry the gifts of peace, joy and determination.
Your every challenge will be laced with enjoyment.
Goals are meant to make you richer in strength.
They empower you with experience.
They build up your confidence and better your faith.
To know how to swim, take the plunge.
To know how to fly, jump off the cliff.
To know how to win, risk the attempt.
That is all I ask of you.
Have faith in you.
God stares right back at you- through you.
